Luis Beltrán is a Spanish photographer born in 1973, based in Valencia. As we can read in his website presentation, Luis "tells the stories of his daydreams through his latest body of digital print photographs. These quietly seductive works hold a deep and moving quality of innocent desire. Figures appear at the ends of alleys, above cityscapes, and up trees(...) Beltrán’s photos produce a dreamlike sensation, the product of their deeply saturated, yet muted, coloration."

«One day, some years ago I came across a book that changed everything: "Shadows in Combat" by Javier Bauluz [check out at the end of this post]. A photo essay on the Arab-Israeli conflict. I was impressed that it could convey so much emotions only with pictures. Since that day, photography has been a landmark in my life.»

«... even when photography has always been there, has not been until relatively recently when I found a way of working and a way to express myself. Now I know what I want and how to get it.»

«Photography is the way to get out of my head all the ideas and thoughts that constantly hammering me.»

«I do not intend to change the world, I wish I could, only make it a little more pleasant while you contemplates one of my works. I like (my work) to be remembered like that, simply as a set of images that made you pass a good time.»
